Tim Kaine Biden Flub

Tim Kaine Biden Flub, There's an insane amount of pressure for politicians to get their message out there but one slip-up can end up on headlines, more-so than their campaign.Vice President Joe Biden called out the Democratic Senate candidate in Virginia by the wrong first name twice during his fundraiser.

"I want to tell you, it's good to be in a state that's going to be represented by Tim Kaine. What a guy! There is a decent honorable man. That man has more integrity in his little finger than most people have in their whole body. I'm a big Tom Kaine fan, a big Tom Kaine fan," Biden said at the Lynchburg City Armory.

You can't blame Hurricane Sandy for the confusion. VP Biden headlined a fundraiser for Kaine back in May as the former governor runs for Senate against Republican George Allen. Kaine also served as the chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 2009 to 2011, ABC News (link back here) reports.

Like hawks on the prowl, the Romney campaign was quick to chop up a clip highlighting the flub and circulating it on Twitter.

"Vice President Biden forgot the name of his own Virginia Democratic Senate nominee and he wants voters to forget about President Obama's failed economic policies and lack of a real agenda for a second term," Ryan Williams, spokesman for Romney, said in a statement.

"Once again, Mitt Romney's campaign is showing their focus on the big things - like one letter in Tim Kaine's name," Obama campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith retaliated in another statement. "If they put as much time and effort into their policies, maybe we'd finally have an answer for how they'd pay for $5 trillion in tax cuts weighted to the very wealthy."

Biden, who was accompanied by his wife Dr. Jill Biden, was scheduled to hold an additional event in Virginia Beach, Va., today, but the campaign cancelled due to the storm.

The BBC achieved a large share of the UK viewing figures for Friday's (April 29) ceremony, with a peak figure of 20 million tuning in to the corporation's broadcast of the Westminster Abbey service. More than 34 million people caught at least some of the Royal Wedding coverage through the BBC, including on its iPlayer service, reports BBC News. Sky News said it had a peak of 661,000 viewers at the start of the wedding ceremony, while BBC Two, Channel 4 and Five only made up 1 per cent of the audience as the nuptials began. Guinness World Records Most live streams for a single event

Guinness World Records Most live streams for a single event, The YouTube broadcast of Prince William’s marriage to Catherine Middleton (both UK) in London, UK, on 29 April 2011 achieved a record 72 million live views, as people from 188 countries around the world tuned in to watch the event on the company’s official Royal Channel. Although this figure alone was enough to beat the 70 million streams achieved during the inauguration of US President Barack Obama in 2009, the wedding’s overall tally is likely to have been significantly higher when taking into account the millions watching via other live streaming services.
