The Vampire Diaries, Olympic gold medal gymnast Gabby Douglas will guest star on "The Vampire Diaries," The CW confirmed.


Douglas won't be playing herself, but no other details have been revealed.

During the 2012 Olympic Games, the cast of The CW's "Vampire Diaries" made a video in support of the gold-medal winner after Douglas publicly discussed her love of the teen drama. The mutual love fest even caused HuffPost TV to dream cast Douglas a role on "The Vampire Diaries."

The stars of "The Vampire Diaries" took to Twitter to share their excitement.Douglas isn't the first 2012 Olympian to head to primetime. Ryan Lochte will appear on both "90210" and "30 Rock." Members of the gymnastic team also appeared on "Big Brother."
