Double joy as Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and wife Mary show off their newborn twins, Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary introduced their six-day-old babies to the world on Friday.
Frederik held their daughter and Mary their son as they left hospital at Rigshospitalet, in Copenhagen.
The twins stayed in hospital a bit longer than usual because the prematurely born babies had jaundice.The babies, who have not yet been named, will be fourth and fifth in line to the Danish throne.
Hundreds of supporters gathered, waving flags, to see the family off.
The 38-year-old Tasmanian-born Mary gave birth on Saturday to the pair, her third and fourth children.
Frederik, 42, and Mary are also parents to Christian, five, and Isabella, three.
The twins were born less than half an hour apart. The first, the son, was born at 10:30, and the daughter was delivered at 10:56.
Both weighed in at just under six pounds.
