Marymount Manhattan College is a private, two-building school in the Upper East Side of New York City where students can choose from nearly 40 liberal arts majors. Although most students at Marymount Manhattan live off campus, the school has one residence hall—a 46-story skyscraper on 55th Street in Midtown.

Although Marymount Manhattan, sometimes called MMC, does not have a varsity sports program, it does offer nearly 40 student organizations, including a fitness group. MMC students can also find much to do in the surrounding city, whether by taking a short subway ride to see a Broadway show in the Theater District or to shop in SoHo or by going on a five-block walk to explore Central Park. Given that about a third of MMC students major in visual and performing arts, it’s no surprise that many of the school’s alumni are notable actors, including

Annaleigh Ashford, who starred as Glinda in Broadway’s production of Wicked, and Moira Kelly, who voiced the animated character Nala in The Lion King and appeared in the television show The West Wing.
