A quitclaim deed filed in Los Angeles indicates that Russell has handed over the rights to Katy as part of a property settlement between the pair.

The move comes as Katy has travelled to India, where the couple both got engaged and subsequently married in October 2010.

The former couple tied the knot in a traditional Hindu ceremony near the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan, India, the same location where Russell proposed in 2009.

Katy is is in India at the moment this is the first time since the couple got married.
