rihanna new dark 'do
rihanna new dark 'do, Rihanna has been rocking her new dark ‘do over the Twittersphere – and this time she’s returned to black.
The 24-year-old singer and frustrated hair stylist has dyed her locks again, switching from a blonde coif to a moodily dark hue.
‘RiRi’ posted three pictures of herself on her Twitter account, along with the missive: “I was missing she, but I aint ready to chop ha.”
I’ll be honest: I don’t understand about 95% of Rihanna’s tweet. I feel very, very old.
The superstar also shaved a small section above her left ear.
And she paraded her new tresses in the big, wide real world today, when she stepped out to promote the film Battleship on board an aircraft carrier at the U.S. 7th Fleet’s headquarters in Yokosuka, Japan.
She appeared at the event in head-to-toe black Givenchy ensemble, enhancing her raven hairdo.
Scroll down for Rihanna’s trio of Twitter pics and another shot of her pushing Battleship. We’re quite liking this moodier barnet – what say you?
All weekend, Grazia Daily's Instagram feed was filled with sultry shots of the songstress transforming from a blonde bombshell to a dark raven and mere hours later, here's the first official outing of her new 'do. As her tweets clarified, it's a return to Rihanna's true roots and in the full light of day (and without those nifty filters), we can see just how jet black she's gone this time. Didn't we tell you that embracing the colour you're born with is a growing beauty trend in Celebdom? Lindsay Lohan is a red head once again while Emma Stone is back to being blonde, encouraging us Graziettes to ditch the dye too. But we digress. To give those tumbling curls a 'bad gurl' edge, Ri-Ri's shaved half her hair off too! Yep, the star has made like Alice Dellal, Ellie Goulding and, most recently, Milla Jovovich by sporting a masculine undercut, a style which she first tried back in 2010.But we've given Ri-Ri's head enough attention for one day - what of the rest of her? Well, for the Japanese press conference, which took place in Yokosuka mere hours ago, she chose a head-to-toe noir ensemble courtesy of her designer pal, Riccardo Tisci. She teamed a roll neck wool sweater covered in twinkling embellishments with a pair of cotton harem trousers and long leather gloves, similar to those she wore at the Brit Awards last month, all by Givenchy. Hmm, is this another clue that Rihanna is working with the brand's creative director to create her own fashion line, we wonder? And err, is she pregnant?! Seriously, why all the bagginess?
Rihanna, confused “goth Geisha” and noted future fashion designer, tweeted photos of her newly dyed locks yesterday. Alas, unlike the last time the singer unveiled a new dye job, she was in fact wearing clothing in the pictures.
Rihanna went blonde back in February, and has since revealed that her “ideal” shade is a navy blue that no one has yet quite come up with. We guess she’s still searching for that elusive color, since her new hair is a plain old shade of brunette. “Black is easy,” she told People in an interview last month.
What do you think? We’re digging the more natural look.
