Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Head to Divorce Court: Other Couples Who Couldn't Make the Love Last.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have gone from whirlwind romance to divorce court in no time at all!

Who would have thought that just a few short weeks after their wedding special aired on E! to an audience of millions that the couple would be calling it quits? Maybe we should have been expecting the split considering the wedding seemed to be contrived for television ratings rather than planned as a ceremony meant to bind their lasting love and commitment. No matter the cause of the un-coupling, their 72-day union is very short. However in the celebrity world its nowhere near the shortest marriage.

Britney Spears and Jason Alexander : Britney Spears took her first step from pop princess to troubled star when she tied the knot with Jason Alexander , a childhood friend, at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas back in 2004. The marriage was a record breaker in the celebrity world lasting only 55 hours before she filed for an annulment.

Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra: Nobody really thought that basketball's bad boy and the MTV hostess would find a happily ever after, but the couple surprised everyone when they filed for an annulment just nine days after getting married at the Little Chapel of Flowers in Las Vegas .

Mario Lopez and Ali Landry: They were the perfect couple right up to the point that they walked down the aisle in 2004. Despite the fact that Ali Landry and Mario Lopez had dated for six years, it was his bachelor party that would end their union. A wild night of partying and an admission of infidelity would end their marriage after just two weeks.

Jennifer Lopez: J Lo is the queen of the quickie marriage with two unions lasting less than a year. Ben Affleck may have dodged a bullet when the star called off their wedding just hours before the ceremony in 2003. The actress had already had two short-term marriages to her credit - she was married to Ojani Noa for eleven months and Chris Judd for seven months. She finally found her happily ever after with husband Marc Anthony before filing for divorce after seven years of marital bliss earlier this year.

Royal wedding more than 24.5 million UK viewers

Royal wedding more than 24.5 million UK viewers, Prince William and Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding was watched by more than 24 million terrestrial TV viewers in the UK, according to overnight estimates from industry body Barb. The BBC achieved a large share of the UK viewing figures for Friday's (April 29) ceremony, with a peak figure of 20 million tuning in to the corporation's broadcast of the Westminster Abbey service. More than 34 million people caught at least some of the Royal Wedding coverage through the BBC, including on its iPlayer service, reports BBC News. Sky News said it had a peak of 661,000 viewers at the start of the wedding ceremony, while BBC Two, Channel 4 and Five only made up 1 per cent of the audience as the nuptials began. William and Kate's service is now in the all-time top 10 programmes in the UK, but drew less viewers than the 1966 World Cup Final (32.3 million) and Princess Diana's funeral in 1997 (32.1 million).

Guinness World Records Most live streams for a single event

Guinness World Records Most live streams for a single event, The YouTube broadcast of Prince William’s marriage to Catherine Middleton (both UK) in London, UK, on 29 April 2011 achieved a record 72 million live views, as people from 188 countries around the world tuned in to watch the event on the company’s official Royal Channel. Although this figure alone was enough to beat the 70 million streams achieved during the inauguration of US President Barack Obama in 2009, the wedding’s overall tally is likely to have been significantly higher when taking into account the millions watching via other live streaming services.
