Adele claims six Grammy nominations British songstress Adele has been given the perfect get well gift after being nominated for six Grammys at next year's awards. The singer-songwriter, who is recovering from throat surgery which forced her to cancel a string of UK concerts last month, will take on the likes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry in categories including song, record and album of the year. English folk rock band Mumford and Sons are also flying the flag for British music, receiving four nominations including best song and record, while the late Amy Winehouse could be honoured with a posthumous Grammy after being shortlisted in the best pop duo/group performance for her collaboration with Tony Bennett on the track Body And Soul. Strikers Back at Work After Walkout Tens of thousands of public sector workers are returning to work following the biggest walkout in a generation which brought disruption to schools, hospitals and other key services across Britain. Unions hailed Wednesday's "historic" strike as the biggest since the 1979 Winter of Discontent, saying up to two million workers took industrial action over the Government's controversial pension reforms. But David Cameron said the "irresponsible and damaging" walkout had been a "damp squib" and was not as well supported as claimed. But with her second child she didn't gain as much weight so it was easier to shift. She did this by taking daily exercise and following a strict eating regimen. She followed a low carb, high protein diet plan of about 1,500 calories a day and her exercise routine included cardio, yoga and pilates. Health and fitness consultant James King says of her choice to use pilates to get back into shape: "Pilates is unique in that it changes your body shape without necessarily affecting your weight significantly but rather improving your posture. Weight loss is not one of the 'most efficient' benefits of Pilates."
