Dancehall artist Elephant Man was arrested and charged with rape this past Monday in St. Andrew, Jamaica. According to TMZ, police investigated the crime when the alleged victim came forward accusing the "Jook Girl" singer of rape. Officers then apprehended Elephant Man, real name Oneil Bryan, at his St. Andrew home and questioned him. Upon finding that they believed they had sufficient information, officers then charged Bryan with grevious sexual assault and rape.

Dancehall star Elephant Man legal troubles are far from over. The “Sweep Dem Weh” deejay was arrested and charged with grievous sexual assault and rape yesterday.

According to reports, the charges stem from an incident at his Hillcrest Avenue home in St. Andrew earlier this month.

Investigators said a woman filed a police report claiming that Elephant Man, whose real name is Oneil Bryan, sexually assaulted and raped her at his home. Detectives assigned to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse conducted investigations, which led to the deejay being arrested and charged.

Police sources confirmed that the deejay was questioned in the presence of his attorney on Monday and then later slapped with the two serious charges of grievous sexual assault and rape.

Elephant Man is booked to appear in court today.

Last June Elephant Man was arrested at his home and charged with stealing electricity. That case is still ongoing.
