Clown terrorizes town: Northampton, U.K. clown, There was a survey done in recent years which asked children if they liked clowns – and the results were that 100% of them didn’t like clowns. No surprise then that there is an anonymous man standing around in a clown outfit in a Northampton, United Kingdom community, freaking the citizens out big-time, according to the Huffington Post on Tuesday.

According to the report, the scared people have seen him holding balloons, but that’s about it. He doesn’t take part in “clown-like” activities such as speaking like a Bozo the Clown or juggling like an entertaining clown. He simply stands while holding his balloons – and sometimes holding a clown teddy bear.

The creepy clown has been seen on and off for the past month, all over the one town.

The clown also has a Facebook page in which he wrote that there is “too much hate” and “not enough love.” He also communicated via his Facebook account that he doesn’t really have a knife – and that those are just stupid rumors spread by stupid people. He also asserted that he’s not on Twitter because it confuses the heck out of him.

The clown sightings in Northampton have started the Twitter hashtag #northamptonclown. People are using Twitter with the hashtag to state why the clown exists in the town.

Why is it the authorities don't step in and charge him with loitering or something else? Maybe they're freaked, too.
